In late 2017, I worked with our Holland development team to replace our existing website. Most of the heavy development was completed in Holland, and then the build was distributed to all the global markets. I personally handled the US implementation. This required first importing all of the content from the old site, and then formatting it to fit within the new site. Then, I crossed referenced with our product art team and R&D department to verify which existing products were moving forward, and what new products would need to be added. Afterwards, I set up all of the current products within WooCommerce: updating images, videos, descriptions and retail locations.
The next major step was building all of the pages, menus, categories, and social media widgets. Because the web build we received from Holland was “cookie-cutter”, these features required a bit of custom HTML/ CSS in order for us to implement exactly what we wanted for the best user experience.
Once all of the content was in place, I worked directly with our Holland development team to resolve all of the bugs that arose during the customization process. After six long months, both the Goliath and Pressman websites were officially launched in March of 2018, and I continue to be responsible for maintaining them from day to day.
