To compete in the growing adult party games market, Goliath Games developed several products targeting players age 18+. However, these products could not be on our existing sites which attract younger children and parents. Therefore, I purchased a domain for our brand and built a new company website for these new adult games to exist.
Due to the expedience of this need, there was no time to work with our Holland development team. Therefore, I spent a weekend looking through WordPress templates until I found one that suited our needs. I then set up a demo site through our web hosting company and began building the site. Using the layout of our current product websites, I knew what menus and widgets would be needed. I also pulled all the approved artwork and product descriptions from our R&D department and uploaded everything to the site. Because I was using a free template, the web layout required A LOT of custom HTML/CSS. But the end result was a website our leadership approved. The last thing I did was transfer all of the web files from the demo folder to the live public_html directory, and then pointed the domain nameservers to our hosting.
